School of Humanities Festival

Promotional materials designed for SOH Fest 2016: Hakbang, an annual orientation festival for the humanities freshmen of Ateneo de Manila University. Appointed and supervised by Zeph Alcantara, SOH Fest 2016 Head, and partnered with Mika Montaño, the other co-head of promotions, we did the execution of both online and traditional promotional materials, and the event merchandise.

About

The School of Humanities (SOH) Festival is annually held in the Ateneo de Manila University as an orientation for the students of the Humanities and is organized by the Sanggunian ng Mga Mag-aaral ng Ateneo de Manila School of Humanities Core Team. It aims to introduce the courses, the organizations involved in the humanities, the junior term abroad opportunities, and other projects and engagements.

Theme

For 2016, the theme is "Hakbang" which means steps in English. The series of promotional materials follows the common theme showing the journey of stepping up, of climbing ladders, and of jumping from one step to another, to pursue somethimg. It uses gradation to give a sense of having gradual stages and to emphasize progression. The colors used are reminiscent of the combination of the sun and skies, but in cooler, pastel tints to express youth and growth.
